Domestic wastewater treatment technology

Domestic wastewater treatment technology

1. AO (Anoxic – Oxic) technology in domestic wastewater treatment

AO technology is the latest domestic wastewater treatment technology today, applied to treat main nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater. AO technology has two main tanks: aerobic and anoxic tanks, respectively accompanied by nitrification in aerobic tanks and denitrification in anoxic tanks.

Characteristic:
  • Technology to thoroughly treat organic substances in wastewater (BOD) and nutrients (N, P)
  • The cost of applying the wastewater treatment system is relatively low
  • Stable operating ability, high automation mechanism
  • Save costs thanks to a simple and easy maintenance system.

2. AAO (Anaerobic – Anoxic – Oxic) technology treats domestic wastewater

AAO wastewater treatment technology is a continuous biological treatment process that uses anaerobic, anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms to decompose pollutants in wastewater.

Characteristic:

  • Thanks to the anaerobic (Anoxic) treatment process, it is able to treat nitrogen and phosphorus very effectively, suitable for highly polluted wastewater.
  • Thoroughly treat pollutants in wastewater such as: COD, BOD, nitrogen, phosphorus, etc.
  • AAO technology helps reduce organic substances as well as excess nutrients
  • The investment cost of building an AAO system is relatively low
  • The amount of sludge generated is low
  • Water quality can reach standard A according to design
  • Less energy consumption.

3. SBR technology in domestic wastewater treatment

SBR technology (Sequencing batch reactor) is a domestic wastewater treatment technology with batch biological reactions, including 2 tank clusters: Selector and C-tech.

Characteristic:

  • One of the most outstanding advantages of this technology is that there is no need to circulate activated sludge.
  • High durability with simple structure
  • Operates under automation mechanism
  • Removal of nutrients (N, P)
  • High BOD removal ability
  • Save costs by not building additional settling tanks and related systems
  • Easy to disassemble and simple to upgrade.

4. MBR technology effectively treats domestic wastewater

MBR (Menbrane Bioreator) wastewater treatment technology is one of the popular domestic wastewater treatment technologies with a combination of suspended microorganisms in the activated sludge tank with hollow fiber membrane technology. The tank in the biological tank will be retained thanks to the microfiltration mechanism of the small-diameter membrane, so the quality of wastewater after leaving the membrane is guaranteed to be of high quality.

Characteristic:

  • High treatment efficiency, increased by 15 - 35% due to higher MLSS compared to traditional Aerotank
  • It is very convenient to increase capacity without needing additional tank area
  • Saves construction area (no need for additional settling tanks, filters, sterilization, etc.)
  • The microbial concentration in the tank is high and the sludge retention time is long, so the amount of residual sludge is small
  • The operating process is simple and easy.

5. MBBR technology applied in domestic wastewater treatment

MBBR (Moving Beb Biofilm Reactor) is a wastewater treatment technology that uses materials as a substrate for microorganisms to adhere to grow and develop. Effective biological treatment of MBBR is through the combination of activated carbon sludge and biofilm processes.

Characteristic:

  • Microbial system with long-term durability
  • The density of microorganisms is so high
  • High BOD treatment ability, up to 90%
  • Energy saving
  • Easy to operate, simple to upgrade
  • Reduce construction area.
